What we collect

- Destinations and trip preferences entered during your session
- Survey answers about your group, budget, and travel priorities
- Optional open text responses about your trip
Information collected automatically:
- Google account information (name, email, profile photo) when you sign in with Google
- Usage data including pages visited and features used
- Device and browser information
We do not collect:
- Payment information — VoyageBlitz is free to use
- Sensitive personal information
- Data from children under 13
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate personalized destination comparison boards
- Save and retrieve your trip boards when you are signed in
- Improve the accuracy of our AI recommendations
- Understand how people use VoyageBlitz so we can make it better
- Send you updates about your saved boards (only if you are signed in)
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. Ever.
How we share your information
We share data with the following third-party services to operate VoyageBlitz:
- Google Firebase — authentication and database storage
- Anthropic — AI interpretation of your trip preferences (processed server-side, not stored by Anthropic)
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
Affiliate links: VoyageBlitz includes affiliate links to third-party booking platforms including Amazon, Booking.com, Airbnb, Viator, GetYourGuide, and others. When you click these links you leave VoyageBlitz and are subject to the privacy policies of those platforms. We earn a small commission if you make a purchase through these links at no extra cost to you.
We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

- Google Analytics cookies to understand usage patterns anonymously
- No advertising cookies — we do not run ads

Your data rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Delete your account and associated trip boards
- Export your saved trip data
- Opt out of Google Analytics by using browser extensions like uBlock Origin

Data retention
- Trip boards are stored until you delete them or delete your account
- Anonymous usage data is retained for up to 26 months via Google Analytics
- We do not retain your survey answers beyond what is needed to generate your board
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), Firebase security rules that restrict access to your own data only, and server-side AI processing so your preferences are never exposed to the browser.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will note the date of the last update at the top of this page. Continued use of VoyageBlitz after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
